Talk to your coworkers at your day job. Let them know that you are an Avon representative and provide them with brochures. Sit back and wait--the orders will pour in.

Let your family and friends know that you're representing Avon. Most people have something that they buy from Avon. They may be collectors, buy items for collectors, or want hand cream or makeup--but it seems just about everyone wants some Avon product.

Set up your website and send the link to everyone on your email list. Check your email often so you don't miss any orders.

Establish a route. Many Avon representatives do not just rely on their family, friends, coworkers, and acquaintances. They build up a route. It may be in their neighborhood or somewhere close by their work. You can ask for a particular route when you apply for the position.

Make sure you have plenty of brochures. You will need to distribute these so people can order from them. They change every two weeks and there may be sales on items that your customers buy. Try to make a list so you can point out different sales.

Be sure your customers are aware of Avon's 100% guarantee. If for any reason they are not happy with the product they purchase they can exchange the merchandise for any other of the same price or they can get a refund for the full purchase price of the product--no questions asked.

Fill out the purchase order form that Avon supplies to submit your order to them. You should have your order in a few days. You will need to send in orders every two weeks. This is nice because you also get paid every two weeks.

Match up the items in the order delivered to your invoices. Put them in bags--which you will have to purchase from Avon--along with the customers copy of the invoice, and deliver it to the person who ordered it. You can accept cash, checks or credit cards. Submit the amount you owe for the order to Avon and the rest is yours.
